No one is above the law
We value the differences among us, believe in the golden rule, and welcome the contributions of everyone with a loving heart:
It is vital to preserve:
- freedom,
- democracy,
- the safety, health, free speech, and opportunities of our friends and neighbors,
- health care,
- social security benefits for those who earned and need it
- the rule of law,
- fairness,
- having a solid and fair economy free from bribery, extortion, or the current unfair influence of the rich,
- public lands for all
- the environment
- free speech
- free press
- right to protest
- habeas corpus to everyone, all the time, no exceptions
- due process
- Restore earth
- and keeping the earth safe for all living beings.
The Supreme Court's presidential immunity ruling is CLEARLY unconstitutional and it must be overturned.

As community member Jay Black recently described at a public meeting about knowledge, we share many common values.
A number of studies describe some fundamental
values in our American culture:
Independence
Education
Equality
Respect for Human Dignity
Democracy
Truth-telling

Loving kindness
Fairness- having the same opportunities
Family Security
Personal Freedom
Freedom from Violence and Personal or Political Attack
Freedom of Expression
Freedom from draft or
NO wars
Responsibility
Lawful and fair Justice,
no politically motivated investigations
Value each other
Respect for non-violence (do not harm the innocent)
Inner harmony
Self respect
Open mindedness
Stability/holding to the status quo
Americans share many common values. There is a belief in fairness, freedom, equal rights, and justice.
In a more perfect union we need to some combination of these changes:
- Repair the separation of powers.
- DO MAJOR OVERHAUL OF CORRUPT SUPREME COURT to restore the intent of the founders:
- REMOVE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES WHO TOOK BRIBES, or violated disclosure laws.
- Add term limits to Supreme court.
- Add age limits for Justices
- Hold Justices to higher ethical standards than other judges,
- to higher standards than other government officials,
- and form a powerful non-partisan watchdog group that can and will remove those justices who have violated the law.
- OVERTURN THE SCOTUS ruling allowing political GERRYMANDERING (YES!!!!!! THAT WAS A SHAMEFUL RULING OF THE activist, ultra-right wing SCOTUS).
- Make it impossible for any future SCOTUS to reinstate unlawful and anti-democratic rulings of current SCOTUS.
- Legislators must reassert their Congressional powers over all matters:
- like money,
- tariffs,
- ICE;
- Justice,
- Environmental regulations,
- trade,
- taxes,
- immigration, rule of law,
- FBI,
- DOJ,
- our health,
- and all other vital matters.
- Currently too lawmakers many in congress listen only to their leadership and the rich DONORS to their campaigns.
- Many citizens are angry and feel disrespected by our lawmakers.
- Consider term and age limits for Members of Congress.
- Construct a system of truly independent redistricting.
VOTING RIGHTS OVER ALL
- Pass legislation that protects every American’s right to vote, a value that is nearly universally shared.Insure that every vote has the same impact in the city, county, state, and national election as every other vote.
- Ranked-choice voting everywhere.
- VOTE-BY-MAIL mail everywhere
- WHY? This lessens voter intimidation by ICE that is planned by the current White House.
- Enact campaign finance reform to greatly limit the power of corporation and the rich.
- Institute national service initiatives.
- Town Halls across the nation demonstrate this feeling very clearly. Notice how some of the lawmakers are shocked to hear citizens express their feelings about being betrayed, about the national being plundered, about our security shredded by the Putin-loving president, and about the lawless sabotage going on.
- END ALL GERRYMANDERING, regardless of which party or entity does it. Punish those who try it.
